her devoted husband Al Sanchez by her side.
•She was born May 12, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Alice and Fred Webber. This date also falls on Mother’s Day every so many years.
Just one more reason to remember her.
•If you knew her well, or barely knew her at all, she always left you thinking about how absolutely beautiful, ridiculously kind, or just how downright funny she was. She definitely left her mark. Her love for animals was very apparent, if you saw her walking the sidewalks of Red Mountain Ranch. During her walk time with Al, you would see her giving treats to every dog she came into contact with. Of course the highlight was meeting and chatting with the their owners. She made many friends on her morning walks that lasted until the end.
•Christine had many hobbies. She loved skiing, horseback riding, bowling, golf, sewing and knitting. Christine also sang in the choir of the Faith Lutheran Church in Michigan. Most of these things, she did many years ago, but that goes to show the wonderful spirit of Christine. The love of new horizons, challenges and the chance of meeting new people.
•Christine started working at DeVlieg Machine Company in 1966. After taking classes to learn how to read engineering drawings, how to use measuring instruments and brushing up on math, she qualified for training to run a machine to produce precision lead screws for the DeVlieg boring machines. She excelled in every way and worked there for 24 years. During those 24 years she learned and taught Cosmetology, earned a degree in psychology, and worked evenings counseling abused children, and alcohol and drug abusers.
•DeVlieg is where she met the love of her life, Al Sanchez. She was smitten with him right away, and who wouldn’t be if they’ve ever met him. They dated for 11 years before getting married in 1977.
•Christine is survived by her husband Al Sanchez and stepson Alan Sanchez, his wife Francoise Testa, and their children Anne Sarah, Marcos and Lorna. Son Duane Springsted, daughter Doreen Sparks, her children Heather Egiziano (husband Johnny), their children Tommy and Ava. Holly Sparks (husband Matt Malyk) their children Olivia and Finley. Daughter Darla Van Norman, husband Kevin, their children Cole and Chandler.
Predecease by her parents, sister Joyce, brother Hugh and Daughter Diane Whitefoot.
Christine was a wonderfully generous woman, a loving wife, a caring Mother, an attentive Grandmother, and a great friend to many. She will be missed by all. Our memories of Christine are plentiful, and rich with love. We love you Christine, you will always be in our hearts.
