Chrysteen Osif age 82 of the Salt River Indian Community passed away on October 31, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Osif. Also preceded by her siblings Elise Thomas, Corrine Watuma, and Dennet Clark. Her Mother and Father were Agnes Clark (Bernard) and John Clark.
She attended High School at Coronado High School in Scottsdale and Stewart Indian School in Carson City, Nevada. Later in life she attended Beauty School and became a hairstylist.
She continued the family tradition, along with her sister Elise, as Silversmiths. She then became a wig maker for Heddy's House of Wigs. Finally, she was a technician at Motorola and retired from the company. Some people may also remember that Chrysteen and family made tortillas for 4 decades.
Chrysteen is survived by nieces and nephew Leann Mike, Ginger Thomas, and the late Candice Thomas, Jeffrey Thomas. Although she didn't have children of her own, her nieces and nephew consider themselves grateful as she was their second mother. We would be remiss not to say that she is also survived by her 10 Dogs: Blue (Babe), Lilly, Buddy, Violet, Thelma, Bee, Molly, Junior, Jake, and Oreo.
God bless our Aunt until we meet again.
