Connie McDowell Collum, 61, passed away, February 19, 2021 in Stockbridge, GA. She was born August 13, 1959 in Sinaloa, Mexico to Raymond and Emilia McDowell. Connie and her family relocated to Blythe California when she was just a baby, and remained there until after graduating from Palo Verde High School in 1977. Shortly after graduation, Connie met Brodie Collum Jr., the two fell in love, were married on June 30, 1979, and started their family. Connie loved her family, had a heart of gold, was very resourceful, and giving. She was also very forthcoming, truthful, and had a feisty side. She could and would tell you like it was while giving you the coat off her back, and anything else that would make your life easier.
Connie is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Miller and Melanie (Clifford Fields) Collum; grandchildren, Jordan Miller, Gavin Collum-Fields, and Bo Fields.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 pm. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa, AZ. 85206.
