

Connie Sims was born March 18, 1967 in San Francisco, CA to the late Opaline Odessa Hill & Floyd Samuel Sims. Connie was raised in San Francisco, where she attended school, as well as, becoming a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. During her tenure at Providence, she joined the Junior Red Choir.
On August 4, 1996 the Lord blessed Connie with her first born child; a son Myles Caleb.
After careful thought and consideration Connie relocated to Mesa, AZ in 2002. Despite the distance between Arizona, California, and Arkansas, Connie traveled plenty to stay connected with her family. In 2004, the Lord blessed Connie with her second child; a son Jessie Samuel Sims James.
In 2009 Connie became a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mesa, AZ.
Connie enjoyed riding her bicycle with her two sons and venturing on endless shopping sprees with her sisters. Connie was very sociable, outgoing, and always offered words of advice to those who asked. She never lost her courage, sense of humor, or will to live.
In 2005 Connie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer; a life-altering moment, however, her focus towards her family and other loved ones never wavered.
On December 24, 2012, Connie entered eternal life where today she is reunited with her parents, Opaline Odessa Hill & Floyd Samuel Sims.
Connie is survived by her two sons Myles Caleb Sims and Jessie Samuel Sims James, Mesa, AZ. Two brothers Lawrence James King, Jr., San Francisco CA, Dwight Earl King, Atlantic City, NJ Two sisters Brenda King-Aranda and Linda K King, Mesa, AZ, one brother-in-law Alfred Aranda, Mesa, AZ. Three Aunts Theresa Moore, El Dorado, AR, Beatrice James, El Dorado, AR, and Bobbie Richardson, Houston, TX, one Uncle, Pete Sims Jr., El Dorado, AR. One nephew Justin Scott King and one niece Christina Yvette King, California
She also leaves her surviving sisters with her late father Floyd Sims, Florida Cowley, Florissant, MO, Linda Sims, Landover, MD, Brenda Billings, Tonya Sims and Falundrus Sims, El Dorado, AR.
As well as her extended family whom she loved dearly, Marcial, Maribel, Ezequiel and Delila Ramos, in Mesa, AZ, and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
