Danetra Lataye McDonald, age 35, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025. Born on January 28, 1990, in Phoenix, Arizona, Danetra brought light, laughter, and love to all who knew her.
A graduate of Sandra Day O’Connor High School, Danetra continued her education at The University of Arizona, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in December 2011. Ambitious and driven, she built a successful career at Wells Fargo, where she was not only a valued team member but also a beloved friend to many.
Danetra’s radiant personality made her unforgettable. She had a fun-loving spirit and found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, listening to music, and embracing spontaneous adventures. Her energy was contagious, and her presence filled every room with warmth and joy.
Danetra is survived by her mother, Amelia McDonald, and her sister, Keyosha McDonald. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ann McDonald, and uncle, Lonnie Cosby, Jr.
Danetra’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
