David France, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024. Born on December 28, 1946, David lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love.
David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he demonstrated unwavering courage and commitment, earning himself the Bronze Star. After his honorable service, David continued to embody the values of duty and perseverance throughout his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Yvonne, who stood by his side through all of life’s triumphs and challenges. Together, they built a loving family, including their two children, Derek and Lisa, who carry forward his legacy of strength and kindness. David was also the cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren and the proud great-grandfather of three. Additionally, David is survived by his brother, Jeff France. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Clara, and his brother, Gary.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on August 18th from 2pm-4pm at Birdie's Restaurant located at the Fountain of the Sun Club House. In place of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in David's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation; https://t2t.org/.
