David Sanders, resident of Mesa, Arizona, unexpectedly passed away on September 23, 2021, at 52-years-old. David was born in El Paso, Texas but always considered Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona his home. While attending Blue Ridge High School, some of David’s favorite activities included football, wrestling, and playing pranks with his friends. After graduating high school, David joined the army, attended and graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute, and served our country. Once out of the military, he made Mesa his home where he met his wife, Genine, and had two amazing children, Kassidy and Zachary. David worked for Bank of America for over 25 years and had many roles, but truly loved his last position as a Reporting Analyst and an AVP at the bank. David loved Cowboy’s football, grilling, country music, history trivia, incredibly hot hot-sauce, fantasy novels, games, any kind of stout or porter, and just recently started enjoying a fine collection of whiskey. David was confident and always commanded the attention of others whenever he would walk into a room. He was funny and was always making someone laugh, even if it was just him. He had the biggest, most caring heart and was a family man before anything else. His wife and his kids always came first, no matter the circumstance. While being the most stubborn man that his family knew, they also knew that no matter what, he would do anything for them. He would fight tooth and nail to make sure that his opinion was heard, whether popular or controversial, but that is one of the many things his family loved about him. They loved the opinionated, sarcastic man who was not afraid to be blunt and tell people what they needed to hear. David was strong, generous, honorable, intelligent, and the gentlest man you’d ever know. David will be deeply missed by his wife and two kids, their two dogs, Maize and Dakota, RJ the tortoise, his mother, his bubba, and his many friends.
