

Denise graduated from Shanley High School in Fargo, North Dakota, carrying forward a steady determination and work ethic that would shape the years to come. Her life reflected a consistent devotion to the people and responsibilities entrusted to her, and she met each season with quiet strength and purpose.
Denise built a career in Administration for Human Resources with the Chandler Unified School District. In that work, she was known for her diligence and reliability—someone others could count on—offering support with a steadfast sense of duty and an example that encouraged those around her.
On September 2, 1967, Denise married Timothy Yunker in Fargo, North Dakota.
Denise held a deep passion for equal rights, and she found comfort and meaning in reading and in the companionship of her precious dogs. She was a member of WomanStory Inc., reflecting a commitment to community and to causes that mattered to her. In both conviction and daily life, Denise offered an example that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Denise will be remembered with respect and gratitude, and her life will remain a lasting influence on the many people who were fortunate to share in it.
Denise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Timothy, and her sister, Cathi Hocevar.
Denise is survived by her daughter, Jen Yunker, and son-in-law, Tim Bogaert. She is also survived by her siblings Mary (Jim) Martinez, John (Deb) Fitzgerald, Clare (Kevin) Donnalley, Peggi (Mark) Hughes, Cathi's husband, Mike Hocevar; and her beloved nieces, nephews and godchildren. Her loyalty to family and loved ones was enduring, expressed in the constancy of her care and the strength of her presence.
