Dietmar H Szonn, age 82, of Mesa, Arizona went peacefully on Friday October 19, 2018. Dietmar was born May 11, 1936 in Tilsit, Germany. Deitmar graduated from New Trier High School. He married the love of his life, Linda Szonn on October 24, 1964. Dietmar worked as a Ground Supervisor for Unied Airlines. He loved going fishing and the Chicago Bears.
Dietmar is survived by his wife, Linda L. Szonn; son Christopher Szonn; daughter-in-law Dianne Szonn; and daughter Deborah Carnes; grandchild Morgan Bukowy and grandchild Logan Steven.
A farewell service for Dietmar will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206. Contributions in Dietmar's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, https://www.cancer.org/.
