Donald G. Ricci

Donald Gene Ricci passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Desert Banner Hospital in Arizona. Donald was born December 5, 1939 in Keota, MO. He met and married Gayla L. Meisner from Macon, MO in 1962. They were blessed with four children.

Donald was honorably discharged from the Army in 1965. He worked for Peabody Coal Company for over thirty years. He was the superintendent of Peabody Coal Power Mine in Montrose, MO before transferring to Arizona, where he worked for the Peabody Coal Kayenta Mine until he retired in 1996.

He was preceded in death by first son Dennis Donald Ricci, mother Bruna Biondi, stepfather Mag Biondi, brother and sister-in-law John and Liz Ricci, brothers-in-law Marion Truitt, Ed Gregory, Chris, Neil, and Jack Meisner, nephew Lonnie Truitt, and in-laws Chris and Lavon Meisner.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Joni and Tom Gilsdorf, Christi and Robbie Muns, and Troy and Laurie Ricci, his grandchildren Jessica Ricci, Jordan Muns, Dennis Ricci, and Kelsey Blatnick, his great grandsons Landon Guymon and Michael Haney III, his brother and sister-in-law Dick and Barb Ricci of Nebraska, along with many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Donald will be buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on December 19, 2019 with full military honors.
