Donna May Taylor

Donna May Taylor, 92, passed way with family by her side in Gilbert, Arizona on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Donna was born to George and Edna Luce on May 1, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio. She grew up on a farm and graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1945. Donna went to college to become a stenographer.
When she completed college her family moved to Florida where she worked as a receptionist and met James. They married and started a family at which time she became a homemaker. Donna was widowed at 48 years of age while still raising three teenage children. Later in life she was diagnosed with 4 separate cancers: colon, breast, skin and fallopian tube - she beat them all! She was a strong woman of character, who loved the Lord, and was passionate about helping those in need. Her hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles, sewing and coloring.
She is preceded in death by her parents George and Edna Luce, her husband James Taylor, her daughter Kathleen Foulkrod and her sister, Nancy Creamer.
Survivors include her children James Taylor, Daniel (Noemi) Taylor, Deborah Ferguson, and Brian (Sheryl) Taylor, her brother Tom Luce and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Mesa Church of Christ, 1223 East Dana Avenue in Mesa, AZ 85204 on Saturday, August 24th at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Donna’s honor to www.provisionproject.org.
