Dorothy Elizabeth Stubbs

Dorothy Stubbs, of Mesa AZ, born November 7, 1929 in Leavenworth KS, to parents Adolph Heitlinger and Anna Flora Heitlinger, passed away November 5th 2018. Dorothy married Richard Ray Stubbs August 14, 1949 who preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by her children Stephen Stubbs (Jeanine), Rebecca Brenner (Joel), Richard Stubbs (Debbie), Daniel Stubbs (Julie) Russell Stubbs (Cindy), Doreen Stradling (Lester), Christopher Stubbs (Brenda). Sisters Regina Burton, Anita Samson, and brother Gordon (Linda) Brothers in-law David Hattey and Lawrence Stubbs. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband: son, Randall; grandsons, Adam and great grandson, Daniel; sisters, Rita “E.T”, Mary Magdalen, Vivian “Tudy”, and Helen Marie.

After being part of the farming community near Easton KS for 14 years the family relocated to Mesa, AZ in 1973 and she began her career with the Mesa Public School District. She retired as an administrative assistant after over 20 years of service.

Viewing is scheduled 4p.m. to 6p.m, Sunday November 11, 2018 at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd, Mesa AZ 85202. A Funeral Mass will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3201 S Evergreen Rd, Tempe, AZ 85282 9a.m. Monday November 12, 2018.

Dorothy was a faithful member of the Resurrection Catholic Church and requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Resurrection Catholic Church Building Fund.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother of her large family who were her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed as the matriarch of our family.
