Earl Jarvis passed away August 9, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Morning Sun, Iowa to May and Frank Oscar Jarvis, Earl arrived January 26, 1920. Earl was married to Mary Jean Robertson on October 14, 1939 in Nichols, Iowa and moved to Arizona in 1984. Earl graduated from Morning Sun High School in 1937. He served in the Army Air Corp from 1943 through 1946 traveling to New Guinea, the Philippines and China as an Electrical AAF. Earl worked at Eastern Iowa Light and Power for 43 ½ years. He was Chairman of the Conservation Commission and served as trustee of St. Mary’s church in Wilton, Iowa. Earl is preceded in death by his parents and brother Paul Jarvis. Earl is survived by his wife Mary Jean Jarvis and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Monday, August 13, 2012 from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 6747 East Broadway Road Mesa, Arizona 85206 (480)830-4422. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at 10:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church 1244 South Power Road Mesa, Arizona.
