Edward (Ed) Lachowicz, 65, died on November 20, 2020. He carried himself like the distinguished gentleman he was until his took his las breath peacefully at home. He was born in Gary, Indiana on April 3, 1995 to parents John and Halina who immigrated from Poland after WWII. When we think of Ed our thoughts are: genius, lover, caretaker, family man, forward-thinker, businessman and classy. He was the rock of our family and an extremely devoted family man. He loved his family and was fiercely protective of them. He was always kind, generous and selfless. He would give you the shirt off of his back because he knew he had the power to get another one. He had the biggest heart out of anyone you could every encounter. He inspired everyone to dream bigger and think outside of the box. He made even the most outlandish dreams seem possible always thinking with a scientific mind that moved at lightning speeds. He made all of our lives magical with his brilliant mind and progressive attitude. If he believe in you he would help your dreams come true no matter how bold those dreams were. Anyone who had the privilege to meet him was instantly impressed by his charisma and had an instant respect for him.
He is survived by his children: Marrah, son-in-law Trevor, Lea, Nicole, Jon Luc and his granddaughter Vera who he had raised since she was a baby and thought of as a daughter. He was also cherished by his two other beautiful granddaughters Mikaela and Darby. He is survived by additional loved ones: his new love Jennifer, her daughter Libbi and his best friend Todd. He also loved his dogs like children. Woof Woof and Pookah will miss him and we are also remembering Anzu who passed away November 18, 2020.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Cindy who sadly passed away five years ago.
At his request no services will be held and viewing is private for immediate family and closest friends. Condolence message can be sent to [email protected]. Donations can be made in his honor to the recent non-profit he helped set up https://handofkindness.org.
