Eldon Henry Molzen, age 83, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on May 15, 2013. He was born in Le Mars, Iowa to John Henry Molzen and Francis Jacobina Oetken. After the death of his parents in his early childhood, he was raised by his grandmother, Fenna Oetken. Eldon graduated from Akron High School in 1947 and attended the University of Iowa. He answered the call of his country and joined the US Army and fought in the Korean War. After the war he returned to Akron for a few years but soon went to California to pursue a long and successful career in the pipe and supply industry. He was married to Irene Elizabeth Frank on February 12, 1955. Eldon’s grandmother, parents, wife Irene Molzen, sister Joyce Peck, sister Ruth Molzen and brother Stanley Molzen are all reunited with him in Heaven. He is survived by his three brothers, Ronald Molzen, Colin Molzen and Gary Molzen. He is also survived by his three children, Sandra Molzen (and her husband Mike Mathews), Wanda Phillips (and her husband Bob Phillips), and Mark Molzen (and his wife Eileen Molzen). His surviving grandchildren, Rachel Molzen, Justin Phillips, Christopher Phillips and Noah Molzen were a very important part of his life. He also leaves behind a special friend Shirley Scanlan. A graveside service with military honors will be held on June 8, 2013 at 9:00 am at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery located at 1500 East Baseline Road in Mesa, Arizona 85204. A celebration of life gathering will follow on June 8, 2013 at 10:00 am at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park Hospitality Center located at 6747 East Broadway Mesa, Arizona 85206.
