Eleanor Bernice Carey

Eleanor Bernice Hoffman, Whitney, Dibble, Carey, age 87, of Gold Canyon, Arizona passed peacefully away on Monday January 29, 2018 surrounded by her family. Eleanor was born on February 23, 1930, daughter of Henry Jay and Bernice Hoffman in Eckford, Michigan. She graduated from River Rouge High School in Detroit, Michigan. She was an amazing mother, wife, homemaker and she also owned her own women's clothing boutique for many years. Eleanor enjoyed painting, gardening, horseback riding, cooking, bowling, music, and dancing.

Eleanor was married to the late Jerry Whitney, the late Kenny Dibble, and the late Thomas Carey.

Eleanor is survived by; daughter Lorie (Whitney) Hudson; son Mark Whitney (deceased) daughter Marla (Whitney) Schaefer; son David Dibble; and daughter Nancy (Dibble) Simko. Grandchildren; Lisa, Jennifer, Ethan, Caitlyn, Christopher, Ryan, Lauren, Jordan, Trevor, and Nathan. Great grandchildren; Alec, Raquel, Catalina, Sophia, Abigail, Brianna, Mercedes, Sierra, Annabelle, Logan, Luke, and Madison. Sister; Marion Lozon and many beloved nieces, nephews, additional family members and friends.

A visitation for Eleanor will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with the service following, from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care, 6747 E Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ 85206. There will be additional services held on Monday, February 19, 2018 in Homer, Michigan. A visitation will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm, with the service following from 12:00pm to 1:00pm located at Kempf Family Funeral Home, Homer Chapel, 303 S Hillsdale St, Homer, Michigan, 49245. The interment will take place at the Fairview Cemetery located in Homer, Michigan.
