

Eller M. Klauburg (née Chavez), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at the age of 88 in Mesa, AZ. Born on August 17, 1937, in Bakersfield, CA, Eller was the cherished daughter of Charles E. Chavez and Dollie B. Chavez (née Cox), both of whom preceded her in death.
Eller shared a remarkable 70 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Emmett G. Klauburg. Together they built a loving family that remained the center of her life and greatest joy. She is survived by her husband Emmett; her children, Kurt (Sue) Klauburg, Ken (Yosana) Klauburg, and Karen (Charlie) Vidot; her seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Elisabeth) Klauburg, Jason (Chelaine) Klauburg, Elena (Luke) Harrison, Casey Klauburg, Erica McCray, Christopher (Chasity) Klauburg, and Kristina Klauburg; and her six great-grandchildren, Chandler Klauburg, Ava Klauburg, Isaac Harrison, Duncan McCray, Sam McCray, and Holden Klauburg.
Eller will be remembered as a kind and loving woman whose warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family touched countless lives. She embraced her role as homemaker with pride and created a home filled with love, comfort, and lasting memories.
In her free time, Eller found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, reading, and antiquing, building treasured collections over the years that reflected her appreciation for beauty and history. She also dedicated much of her life to serving others through veterans’ organizations and volunteer work. Eller was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1972, volunteering during the 1970s at Jefferson Barracks Veterans Hospital. She later became a member of the VFW Auxiliary in 1991 and the Disabled American Veterans in 2023. In recognition of her dedication and service, Eller received a Special Recognition Award from VFW Post 4142.
A visitation will be held at Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care - San Tan Venue, 6747 E Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ 85206 on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, from 10:00 AM-11:45 AM, with a funeral service to follow from 11:45 AM-12:15 PM. The committal service will occur at 1230 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park.
Eller’s legacy of love, compassion, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
