Eric John Heflin, 51, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 25, 2017. He was born May 7, 1966 in Canton, Ohio to Harold and Sally (Shearrow) Heflin. Eric graduated from GlenOak High School in 1984 in Canton and started his own business in automotive detailing that year which he had moved to Arizona, and operated until March of 2017. After closing his detailing business, Eric went on to work as a Sales Agent for Public Storage. He enjoyed watching action movies and had a "soft heart" for Disney movies; he also enjoyed cooking, especially on the grill and finding different recipes he could try out. Eric was a huge sports fan and being from Canton, where the Pro Football Hall of Fame is, his passion was for football, especially Ohio State Buckeyes and Miami Dolphins. On weekends, Eric would watch the games at Jimmy's of Chicago, Teakwoods, or Buffalo Wild Wings with his friends. He was preceded in death by his father,Harold and is survived by his mother Sally (Shearrow) Heflin, his loving wife Michelle Marie (Mayberry) Heflin; his children Hayden Hunter Heflin (age 13) and Tatum Savannah Heflin (age 10); brothers Harold (Tammy) Heflin and Tom (Lynda) Heflin; his sister Sharon Kay (Joe) Liolios, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service immediately following on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa AZ.
