Erwin, my brother, I've been thinking of the perfect words to say and coming up short! Your Judson family will never be the same without you. You had the amazing ability to connect with people from every corner of this planet. What a privilege it was to do life with you, Sapi, and the boys. From young immigrants with big dreams to parents with amazing families... The journey of our families will not end here.  We got them! We will always be there for them! You will be missed greatly. It's surreal to be writing all of this.. 
Rest in power, rest in glory, rest in God's eternal peace! 🤍

Erwin and I were a part of the international students at Judson . We formed our own little family - Erwin, Magi , Uche , Akudo , Luke , Carine , Sultana , Malouta, Katombe, Marceline ..and so many others ! We were basically the United Nations of a family ..that was 20 years ago! oh how time flies ! 

Erwin was one of the first people I met at Judson ( of course !) He was the walking living example of kindness and brotherly love .  I have a million and one examples of how he showed up for us, his friends, every single time we needed him . We truly were a little family! You will surely be missed my brother .  My only regret is the thought that we would have more time . Rest in God’s arms my dear old friend .

First time I met Erwin was in the cafeteria during lunch in college. I saw him sitting by himself as a freshman and something attracted me to sit with him. Within 5 mins of sitting with him to my surprise he told me everything about my country. From then on i knew I couldn’t get rid of him easily. It’s sad that he had to leave this world so soon. He was truly the life of the party, he showed kindness to every one he came across like he knew that tomorrow is not promised. Erwin has experienced few turbulence in his life but his smile and great resilience kept his spirit up even till the end. You would be missed brother.

These photo memories captured Erwin’s essence beautifully. Erwin was one of the the most intelligent, optimistic, forgiving,  kind-hearted and fun-loving people ever. He knew everything about everything and everyone…music, soccer, history, politics, comedians…you name it! I still laugh thinking about how we had to hide our remotes for TVs and music players because when Erwin walked into a room, he was going to listen and watch what he wanted…at the highest volume. Ha! Erwin, or as his Judson College crew called him “Master P” or “Pizzo”, was the life of the party with his stories and jokes. He loved to talk and laugh and kept the entertainment going for hours. He was the grill master and brought everyone together. Erwin loved his family and friends so much. This world will not be the same without him and he will be sorely missed. Erwin, you will never be forgotten.  We love you always dear friend. Your light shines so bright through your boys. Sapi, we love you so much and are keeping you all in prayer each and every day. 

Erwin was a great friend with a big heart. You will forever be remembered Erwin for your kindness and always checking on your family friends to make sure they are well. Gone yet not forgotten, you will always be in our hearts. May the winds of heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear how much we love and miss you and wish that you were here.

One of the sweetest souls I've ever met on this earth. He will live on in my heart and others for eternity. Arsenal brought us together, but I know I'd met you before, in another time. See you again, my friend, I'm sure of it.
