Frank A. LaGioia, 67, passed away on September 21, 2016 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born August 22, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Alexander and Genevieve [Tylka] LaGioia. Frank grew up in Franklin Park, Illinois where he graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1967. He married the love of his life, Shirley Blankenship on July 26, 1986 and they spent the next 30 years together. Frank graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1971 and worked for the Social Security Administration as a Disability Examiner for 32 years, retiring in 2011. Frank was an avid golfer, and would be known to craft his own golf clubs for himself and his friends. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Shirley LaGioia; his mother, Genevieve LaGioia of Mesa, AZ; brother, Michael and his wife Lynda LaGioia of Tempe, AZ; sister, Deanna Asta of Mesa, AZ as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alexander LaGioia. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ 85206
