

He was a devoted husband , father, and grandfather .
Born with a passion for creativity and design, Gerald attended the School of Industrial Art in New York before earning his Bachelor’s degree from the Pratt Institute of Technology. A man of dedication and honor, he also proudly served his country for four years in the U.S. Army
On November 9, 1963, Gerald married the love of his life, Evelyn, in a beautiful ceremony at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. Together, they built a life centered entirely around their deep love for their family.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Evelyn, and their beloved daughter, Adria and his parents , Aldo and Margaret.
Gerald’s legacy of love and commitment lives on through his surviving family. He is survived by his daughter, Aimee Guidali Papakalodoukas, and her husband, Tom; his sister, Lola Pizzuco; his granddaughter, Jaclynn Guidali McDonald, and her husband, Dustin; and his granddaughter, Shannon Day. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all the lives he touched .
A joint visitation/ celebration of life for Gerald and Evelyn will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home. in New City, New York. A joint Mass will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Anthony's Church in Nanuet, New York. Burial will take place at 12:30 PM at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
