Glennie Ray Laws

Glen Laws, Principal Electronics Engineer, passed away March 10, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona. Glen was preceded by the death of his wife of 61 years Carolyn Lou Laws, son Randall Glenn Laws and son Steven Ellis laws. His daughter survives him Karen Denis Sorg, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Glen's education included engineering degrees from Mississippi State University and Arizona State University. Glen worked as a civilian engineer for the US Army Rocket and Guided Missile Agency. Glen retired in 1995 after working for 33 years for Motorola in Scottsdale Arizona doing design and testing spacecraft transponders including the Voyager Program. Glen and his family arrived in Arizona in 1962 and he began teaching the Bible message to adults at several Baptist churches in the Phoenix area. Glen was also elected a Baptist deason for several churches.

A visitation for Glennie will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206. A funeral will occur Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206. A graveside will occur Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
