

born November 6, 1919 in Puerto Rico, passed away July 26, 2013 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 93. Gloria lived a rich, full life. Her "footprints" on this earth touched and blessed so many people. Her faith was a shining light to each and every person that she met. Because of that deep faith the vision of her dancing, singing and resting in the arms of her Savior are so clear and vivid. When she was able, she was actively involved in Pinewood Presbyterian Church in Orange Park, Florida along with the Red Hat Society. Reading was a daily part of her life along with writing beautiful poetry. She taught Spanish for many years and was an inspiration to countless young people. Russell Johnson was her husband for 65 years until he preceded her in death in 2012. Her family has cherished her and loved her beyond words. One of her daughters is Sally and her husband Joey Minyard of Apache Junction. Her other daughter is Chris Graham who lives in Baton Rouge, LA. Jenny Graham and John Graham are her beloved grandchildren residing in Zachary, LA and Madison, WI. Amelia Parrenin is her only great grandchild who also held a treasured place in her heart. A graveside service will be at 10:00am, Thursday, August 1st at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens (480) 830-4422.
