I have many memories of both Gordon and Effie in connection to the temple when I was a teenager where both he and Effie served for a time with my own parents. They were so kind and friendly that I instantly felt connected to them each time I saw them.

As an adult, my family and I lived not far from his house and Megan became entranced with Pepper so we began visiting. Even though Megan came to visit Pepper I remember how caring and kind he was and finally Megan figured out we could visit them all. She was only three at the time. She began calling him Peppers Dad and of course Effie became his Mom.

Thanks for being such a wonderful example of Cbristlike love and goodness. You will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers go to your entire family and particularly to his sweetheart, Effie who has been his Angel for many years. Wish I could be there. Love you all so much.
