

Granville Clark, also known as Clark, passed away at his home in Apache Junction, Arizona, on June 29, 2024 at the age of 79. Born on March 9, 1945, in Raceland, Kentucky, he was the thirteenth of fourteen children born to Walter and Beulah Clark.
Clark dedicated many years to working in the custodial department for the Waterford Township School System before retiring from the Apache Junction Schools in Arizona. He had a passion for western movies and cherished Sunday Morning Services with Jimmy Swaggart.
Clark was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and he was beloved by all who knew him. His love for animals, particularly his two chihuahuas, Sissy and Missy, was widely known. Friends from his community, White Sands Estates Mobile Home Park adored him. His presence will be profoundly missed by everyone.
Clark is survived by his children: Martha Meredyk; Nancy Leffew (Steve); Granville Lee Clark (Jennifer); Sandy Simonson (Chris); Shona McGregor; and Shannon McGregor Jr. (Francisca). His three sisters Alberta, Evelyn, and Margie. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren: Andrew Clark, Kent Meredyk Jr., Nicole Meredyk, Cody Galpin, Kyle Galpin, Samantha Goecke, Matt Simonson, Stephanie Simonson, Danielle Mardis, Dwayne Mardis Jr., Joelle Jordan, Justine Dean, Anthony Harper, Cheyanne Black, Andres Suarez, Alexandrea Suarez, and River McGregor, along with many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Yvonne Clark, son Samuel Ray Clark; daughter Shannon Denise Suarez; his parents Walter and Beulah Clark; siblings Fran, Cecil, Lorraine, Walter Jr., Claude, Paul, Lena May, Shirley, Stanley, and Martha; son-in-law Kent Meredyk Sr., granddaughter Jennifer Prevo, and grandson Dakota Black.
The family invites you to join them in a Celebration of Life Ceremony to honor Granville Clark and his late wife, Mary Yvonne Clark. The ceremony will be held at The Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center, located at 1035 N. Idaho Rd., Apache Junction, AZ 85119, on Tuesday, July 9th, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
