Guadalupe (Peda) Figueroa, age 54, passed away peacefully, walking with God, on Wednesday, March 9th, 2016, with loved ones by her side. Peda was born in Gilbert, Arizona, on July 31st, 1961 to Armando and Irene Figueroa. She attended Gilbert schools and enjoyed playing all sports, especially softball. She also enjoyed any type of game, as long as, it involved winning and loved to make you laugh and enjoy the game as much as she did. Peda started her aerospace career working for Hughes Helicopter in March 1983. Hughes became McDonnell Douglas, now Boeing, where she remained employed up to the time of her passing. She was an outstanding employee, always up for an assignment challenge, made all jobs ‘fun’ and made lasting good and true friends along her work path. It truly was a pleasure working with her. Peda received many achievement awards over the years and was proud to work for the Boeing Company.
Peda will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, the best smile, being FUN and giving awesome hugs. She was truly an inspiration during her final months as she fought brain cancer. Peda’s strength and positive attitude touched all who met her.
Peda is survived by her partner of 30 years, Nancy Schrauth, who was blessed that Peda chose her to share her life with; it was a charmed journey for them filled with goodness. She is also survived by her father, Armando Figueroa, brother Armando Jr., sisters Esther (Marc) Bausinger, Henri Ellis and Mary (Ray) Almeida. Nephews Dominick and Michael, nieces Tiann, Amanda, Ashley, her godchild Breana, their spouses and families. Her four-legged furry kids Joey and Sophie. Along with a large loving family of relatives, to include the Schrauth family and many, many cherished friends. Peda was preceded in death by her mother Irene and brother Humberto. She loved many and will never be forgotten.
Peda will be missed greatly by all and we won’t say good bye but instead ……… ‘we will see you around soon”. Remember to love more and worry less, she would like that. We love you Peda, with all our hearts, and always will for as long as we live.
