Guadalupe “Lou” “Lupe” Johnson, 88, Mesa, Arizona died peacefully with family present on August 12, 2018. Lou was born November 3, 1929 in Las Cruces, New Mexico and was also a resident of El Paso, Texas for 52 years.
Her guidance and patience were always present. The wife of a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War, Lou raised six children. Her husband and children always her first priority. Lou was a homemaker for most of her life.
Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Christopher CC Johnson and first born child, Chris Ann York, also sisters Bertha and Josie. She also has a sister Corina in New Mexico and a niece Minnie Martinez in California. Her sons, Carl Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Terry and wife Gay Johnson of Mesa, Arizona, Brian Johnson of Scottsdale, Arizona, Craig Johnson and his loving sons Floyd and Mitchell of Mesa, Arizona, daughter Nancy and Steve Cooper of Austin, Texas. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren all whom live in the Western Region. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A celebration of Lou’s life will take place at a later date in El Paso, Texas at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
