

Harvey proudly served in the National Guard for nine years and was discharged on April 17, 1962 at the rank of E5 - Sergeant. During the time of his military service, he also worked as a floral designer for Holm and Olson florist in St. Paul.
Harvey married Donna Mae Neska on April 27, 1963 in Minnesota and the two started their family.
While living in Minnesota, Harvey worked as a supervisor for Mendota Heights Parks and Recreation and served the community as a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years.
In 1978, Harvey relocated with his family to Mesa, Arizona where he went to work as a supervisor for the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation for more than 10 years. Because he still had a passion for flowers, he took on a part time job at Basha’s as a floral designer. Once he retired, he enjoyed working in his yard, tending to his flower garden, traveling the United States and spending time with his family.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna Mae Franzmeier; his children, Troy Frederick (Holly)Franzmeier, Stacy Ann (Frank ) Steinhoff and Shelley Mae (Todd) Franzmeier-O’Brien; his grandchildren, Brittney, Ashley, Alicia, Johnathan, Cassandra, Amanda and Abigail; great grandchildren, Emery, Ryah, Asher, J.J., Malakai and Koda; his sisters, Beverly Krech and Betty Merhoff; his aunt Hillie Cole, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens.
Harvey will be laid to rest during a private service at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa, Arizona
