Helen S. Cooke

Helen Stanczyk Cooke, 92, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Helen was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 26, 1923 to Stanley and Maryanne Stanczyk. She shared a loving home with 3 brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Piotrowski and to this marriage they were blessed with 1 son. She found love again and married Louis Franks, they were blessed with 3 sons and 4 daughters, after the death of Louis, she married Wight H. Cooke and they were blessed with 1 daughter. They merged a large and loving family. Those left to honor her memory are her children; Brian Franks, Linda Lyles, Kathy Franks, Sue Dixon, Sharon Rivard, Kitty Lewan, Bill Franks, Hank Piotrowski, and Duaine Franks. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Helen had many interests over the years, but most the most important to her was and is her love for Jesus Christ, the Catholic Church, and the family that she loved and cherished, by whom she will deeply be missed. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, Thursday, March 17 at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, AZ with a rosary recited at 7 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 18 at All Saints Catholic Church, 1534 N. Recker Road, Mesa, AZ. Condolences may be made by visiting www.mariposagardens.com.
