Herbert V. Henson, 70, born April 9, 1944 to Herbert Cannon and Augusta L. [Jones] Henson, passed away on August 31, 2014 in Apache Junction, AZ. He was the first person to be appointed and elected as the Mayor of the town of Superior, AZ as well as being first appointed Town Manager. He spent his career as a self-employed tax accountant, retiring in 2009. Herbert is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, whom he married on December 1, 1967, Margaret E. Henson. Herbert is also survived by his children Wendi (Anthony) Childress, Kelly (David) Ridgeway, Tom (Roni) Henson and Jewelle (John) Oberlin, Nanette (John) Streng and Fletcher (Kathy) Stevens; his sister Wanda Simmons as well as 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
