Herman (Chuck) Requena, business owner of H&D Home Improvements and longtime resident of Mesa, AZ, died unexpectedly on October 11th, 2020 at the young age of 56, due to routine surgery complications.
Herman is survived by his wife Dawn Ott Requena, his children: Candice Sewell, Bradley Hendricks, Zachery Hendricks, and Serenity Requena; his grandchildren Hailey, Sixx, Ethyn, Eli, Anthony, Landon, Michelle, Morgan, Damieon, Deaundric Jr, Heidi and Baby Requena; and his siblings Tito, Bobby, Louie, Romeo, and Diana and his 2 son in-laws Ray and Deaundric. He is preceded by his mother Helga Hamburg, Father Justo Calder, and his son Garry Werwinski.
Herman was born in Brooklyn NY on February 14th, 1964 to Helga Hamburg and Justo Calder. He moved from NY to Arizona where his self-owned construction business blossomed. He Married his wife Dawn on December 23rd, 2000 in his home state of NY. He has 5 beautiful children who gave him 12 adoring grandchildren that he lived for. Family, laughter and making memories were the most important things in his life, besides his gym and his company.
Herman was a devoted father and grandfather. Loved to work out in his gym and listen to his music loudly. He was passionate about his job and befriended his customer like no other. He made sure he got the job done. He loved spending time with family in the back yard playing horseshoes, cornhole, dominoes, cards, pool, Ping-Pong and swimming all while listening to his favorite music on his Alexa. He was a spiritual man who talked highly of God. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that came across this bright man who always wore a smile.
