Born in San Joaquin, California, on July 16, 1952, Hilda graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1970 and married her beloved husband, Jesús Salomon Ibarra, in 1971 in Los Angeles, California. Hilda spent over 20 years as a supervisor at the Motor Vehicle Department of Arizona, where she was known for her warm spirit and the potlucks she made special with her cooking.
Hilda formed friendships everywhere she went, often delighting neighbors with homemade banana breads, tamales, and the love she put into every meal.
She is survived by her three children, Rene, Maggie, and Sal, her eight grandchildren—Alexis, Jaiden, Gabriel, Anissa, Blake, Miah, Isaiah, and Delilah—and her two brothers, Arturo and Pedro.
Hilda’s legacy of love, cooking, and kindness lives on through her family and all who knew her.
She will be dearly missed.
