Holden Eric Mosegard

January 30, 1991April 15, 2013

Holden Eric Mosegard passed away April 15, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Eric and Tracey (nee Couture) Mosegard, Holden arrived on January 30, 1991. Arriving 6 weeks early, weighing in at 6 pounds, Holden was determined to share a birthday with his dad. Holden was a Student Ambassador in 2004, which involved traveling to Europe. In 2009, he graduated from Desert Ridge High School with his sister Haley, who was a year and a half younger than Holden. This made Holden mad because her name came before him in the alphabet, and she graduated before him. Attending college at Collins College from 2010-2011, Holden majored in Video Game Design. Working at Village Inn, Holden looked forward to seeing his regulars. Recently, he started working at Staples as a Computer Technician, he enjoyed his job. He was often quoted as saying “I’m the man” when it came to helping his customers. Holden met love of his life, Kim, in 2009. They started dating August 9, 2009. Kim fell in love with Holden’s confidence, and great sense of humor. When he would walk into the room, no matter where it was, his infectious smile could light it up. Just being around Holden would make Kim feel happy, and warm her heart. Always affectionate and attentive, the two would always be holding hands. They married on October 17, 2012. He couldn’t wait to be a dad. Holden was loyal and honest to a fault, and was the most trustworthy person you could meet. When he wrong, he would admit it. He truly held Kim’s world.

Being a great teacher came easy to Holden. Whether it was teaching Kim to drive a stick shift or motorcycle, or his nieces and nephews how to use the computer, he did an amazing job. Volunteering with his mom at food banks and soup kitchens showed his kind nature. This side of him also came out when animals were around. There was not an animal that Holden met that he didn’t fall in love with. His puppies, Doug and Lily, rounded out he and Kim’s family. Doug even shared in Holden’s love for motorcycles, riding with Holden in a back pack brought both of them so much joy.

Anything that had to do with riding motorcycles or auto-sports was a passion for Holden, as he wanted to be a professional motorcyclist. On March 29, 2012 Holden got his R6 motorcycle, he was so excited to take it for a ride. His favorite places to ride included Salt River Canyon, and Canyon Lake. He loved riding to Tortilla Flat on his bike. He had just had his bike tested for the track and couldn’t wait to show off the sticker that proved he passed the test. He belonged to a riding group, the Twisted Bikers, and after they dispersed, he continued to ride with Frank Garvey and Chris Boyce, and a few others. Another passion for Holden was video games, he could master any electronic device. This has followed him throughout his life. He has been gaming online with friends abroad since he was 12. Holden’s online circle of friends is vast, as everyone he met, whether online or in person became his friend.

Holden’s warm smile and magnetic sense of humor will forever be missed by the lives of all who had the honor of knowing him. Those who knew him, will miss him being the center of attention. He is survived by his loving and adoring wife, Kim Mosegard, parents Tracey Couture, and Eric Mosegard, sister Haley Mosegard, grandparents Rosemary Couture, Carl Mosegard, and Shirley Mosegard, mother-in-law and father-in-law Marva Lynn and David Bear, “Uncle” Bob Bellora, best friends Chris Weiss, Collin Gribbles, and Kyle Fitzgerald, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends that he loved so much. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Couture.
