He was born on October, 17th 1940 in Brooklyn New York to Jack and Mollie Bernstein. Howie served in the Army in the 24th infantry as a Telecommunicator and in Germany for 3 years. He worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Good Samaritan Hospital for 32 years. Howie enjoyed vacationing and spending time with his friends and family. He loved playing cards, and going to movies. Howie loved to read books. He is survived by his wife Patricia Berns of 62 years, his Sons Steve (Linda) and Glenn (Nicole), 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
A committal service for Howard will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024. Following the service a reception will be held from 12pm-2pm at Vito's Ristorante, 1947 N Lindsay Rd. Mesa, AZ 85213.
