Jacen Cain Lopez

Our precious son and friend to so many, Jacen Cain Lopez, was given his angel wings and freedom from all worries on January 14th 2015. His life touched all his relatives and friends. Jacen loved all his family, friends, and sports. Jacen’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of life far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His beautiful smile and sense of humor brought many of us joy, we will miss him forever. He was loved by so many.

Jacen loved Football and music. He loved hanging out with his friends and his Aunt Victoria Barbari. He loved being with his family, and his special baby brother Maceo. His passion for Football was incredible. Jacen starred on the field as a quarterback, cornerback, and running back. He participated in numerous championship games. He also enjoyed playing Baseball, Soccer, and Basketball. His other hobbies were Long Boarding, Snowboarding, playing video games, and enjoying friends and family. Jacen attended Gilbert Jr. High.

Jacen was preceded in death by his Nana Frances Ormsby. He is survived by his loving parents, Amy Mendivil and Jason Lopez; step father Teo Ruiz; step mother Rachel Gonzalez; baby brother Maceo Ruiz; sisters Christy Kiser and Cierra Lopez; grandparents Don and Nana Alice Barbari; special uncle Nick Barbari; special aunts Victoria Barbari and Nicole; grandparents Gregory and Jenney Mendivil; great uncle and aunt Steven and Christine Mendivil; uncle Vincent Lopez; uncle Joshua Ormsby; Chris and aunt Cecilia Frank; aunt Rachel Ormsby; aunt Marisol Lopez; aunt Sarae Romero; grandparents Rigoberto Lopez and Margarita Romero; great grandparents Edward and Flower Mendivil; Nana Angelita Gutierrez; step brother Alex Valenzuela; step sister Olivia Valenzuela; Armida Reyes; Norma Ruiz; Lizette Ruiz; Nereida Ruiz; Carlos and Fabiola Ruiz; plus numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends. We all loved him dearly and a part of our hearts will remain broken forever.

Stapley Dr. Mesa, AZ 85204. Burial will follow at City of Mesa Cemetery 1212 N. Center. Mesa, AZ 85201.
