It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Jack Israel Working, born on July 5, 1969, in Palmdale, California. Jack made his home in Mesa, Arizona, where he passed away on August 28, 2025, at the age of 56.
Jack is survived by his loving parents, Patreece and Warner Working; his brothers Preston, Daniel, David, and Patrick; his sisters Mellissa, Teetia, and Sariah; and his children and grandchildren, Tabatha, Ann, Kylee, Devin, Emma, Gage, and Jamie. He is preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed him with open arms on his journey home.
Jack had a heart as big as the outdoors he loved. He was happiest when spending time with family, fishing, camping, hunting for rocks or gold, or building and fixing things—because Jack could fix anything. He was one of the handiest and hardest working guys you could ever have around, always ready to lend his skills or his time to anyone who needed it.
But beyond his skills and passions, what truly defined Jack was his love for others. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, included, and valued. His laugh, his jokes, and his easy-going nature made every gathering brighter. Jack was a man of his word — if he said he would do something, you could count on it.
Jack’s children and grandchildren were the center of his world, his greatest source of joy and pride. Whether it was celebrating birthdays, camping, fishing, cooking, going on trips, or simply hanging out watching movies, Jack treasured every moment with them. He didn’t need anything fancy — just time together, making memories, laughing, and sharing stories. To his kids and grandkids, he wasn’t just Jack, Dad or Pappy; he was their biggest supporter, their steady hand, and their safe place.
As his niece wrote, “Knowing my Uncle Jack meant you LOVED Uncle Jack. He was more than just an uncle, brother, son, dad, grandpa — he was always there to listen, to teach, and to be there when you needed him. His arm-opening personality made everyone feel like family. He will never be forgotten.”
Jack left us far too soon, but his love, laughter, and the countless memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be announced soon.
Rest in peace, Jack. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
