

Jim was born in Burbank, California, on September 18th, 1968. he graduated from Palmdale High School and received an Associate's Degree from College of the Canyons.
Jim married his first wife, Valerie, in 1996, and later Donna in 2004.
He joined the army in 1987 and was discharged in 1990, after which he began work as a police officer and continued for 18 years. He would then spend 8 years working with Ecolab. Throughout this time, he held a passion for gardening, running, chess, and seeing movies with his children.
He is survived by his parents, James Harvie III and Judy Spencer, and stepfather Jess Spencer, his sisters Robin Famighetti, Jessica Horton, and Ruth Zhang, his brothers, James Scott Harvie and James Michael Harvie, his daughters, Reilly Bialek, Alexa Harvie, his son James Harvie V, and his granddaughter Amelia Bialek.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, San Tan Venue, 400 S. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ 85206, on September 18, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
A Catered Reception will follow at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, San Tan Venue, 400 S. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ 85206, on September 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
