James Edward Maisel

James earned a Master’s Degree plus from Ohio State University in Electrical Engineering. He went on to be a professor at Cleveland State University and Arizona State University for 44 years. James also worked for NASA Space Research for two years. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, composing and playing music on the keyboard, and was an avid dog lover.

He joins his wife of 59 years, Marian in heaven. James is survived by his children Mariann and Joe, their spouses, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Rosary at 7:00pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Road., Mesa, AZ 85202.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10:00 am at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3201 S. Evergreen, Tempe, AZ 85282. The Committal service will follow the services at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ 85204.
