James F. McGuire (Jim) was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 26, 1930, where he lived until he graduated from Holy Redeemer High School in 1948 and joined the United States Armed Forces. Jim served in the Army until his honorable discharge in 1952. Jim returned to Detroit and was employed by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Michigan. Upon his retirement in 1988, Jim moved to Arizona where he met and married Betty Callahan on July 1, 1994 and lived the remainder of his life happily with his best friend and true love.
Jim is survived by his wife Betty, his six children; Christine, Carol, Mike (Marjorie), Denise, Jim (Elaine) and Colleen (Mike), two step-children; Karen and Carolyn, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at the Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park in Mesa, Arizona at 11am MST.
