Forever In Our Hearts

Janet Elaine Seagraves, 87, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on November 5, 2025. Born in White River Township, Indiana, on October 21, 1938, Janet was the daughter of Keith and Marian Zaring. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, David Seagraves. The two were married in Holbrook, Arizona, on June 30, 1957, and together they built a full and meaningful life, raising their two sons, Kevin and Brad, in Mesa.

A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Janet later entered the workforce as a real estate agent in the 1970s. She enjoyed a long and successful career, continuing her work in real estate until her retirement in 2018.

Janet and David became members of Central Christian Church in Mesa in 1959, where Janet faithfully served her church community for decades. Her ministries included children’s programs, the Acts Ministry, outreach to shut-ins, and greeting congregants on Sunday mornings, roles she fulfilled with a warm heart and an eager spirit.

Janet is survived by her sons, Kevin Seagraves and Brad Seagraves (Cyndi); four grandchildren, Shannon (Dave) Kraft, Tyler (Megan) Seagraves, Ben Seagraves, and Megan Seagraves; and five great-grandchildren, Brielle, Jayce, Ethan, Abigail, and Harrison.

Janet will be laid to rest next to her husband in the City of Mesa Cemetery following a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Central Christian Church of Mesa, Arizona, in honor of her lifelong faith and service.
