We will miss Jess so much. I married into the family. When I was first introduce, being gay, I was worried about being accepted to the very large family. Jess came over, gave me a hug and said welcome to the family. He always made me feel as if I was one of his kids. As if I had been with the family as long as any cousin. He would ask me how I was doing, not like in passing like everyone says, he really wanted to know, "How are you doing Jen". If I said "good", he'd respond with "really? come on, you can tell me". He didn't want me to sugar coat it and therefore Jess and I had some very open discussions while I went through struggles in my life. He was a kind, thoughtful person and always seemed intent of being sure I knew people cared and loved me. His daughters and grandchildren exhibit the same love and acceptance that he did. I will miss him very much. My heart breaks for Marybeth, Michelle, Tammy and the grand kids. I'm so sorry you have to go through losing him. Know that the amount of pain you feel now is proportionate to the amount of love you have for him, so don't run from it, embrace it. Be patient and kind to yourself. You've spent a lifetime loving him therefore grief has no timeline. We love you! Jen and Jeni

I have so many fond memories working with Jess. We talked a lot about Joe Bonamassa, he coached me on technology but most of all he made me laugh- constantly.

Thanks for being so helpful and always making those around you laugh. You will be missed.

Jess was my customer when I started with EMC. He was a storage engineer at Allied Signal (back in the day). He would tear me apart when we were negotiating designs! I was such a newby. He finally took me aside and taught me how to negotiate with people like him. I owe him my career. I was so pleased when he jumped to the 'dark side' and joined EMC. We had several memorable projects together. For the rest of my career, I have used his example to 'pay it forward' as much as I can.
Jess was a big man, with a big heart and a poker face. He was proud of his family, and left his mark on this world. It's a better place because he graced it with his too brief presence. Rest in peace, old friend.

Jess was one of the first colleagues I met when I came to work at EMC /Dell in July of 2006. His tall stature, great head of white hair and his soft spoken manner all stood out to me.
He talked lovingly of his family especially the grandchildren.
In years to come I would learn we shared the same birth date and at times exchanged emails on the occasion. When March rolls around this year I will dearly miss my very kind friend, I shall never forget him.
My heart aches for his family and the loss this is to all who knew, loved and enjoyed his company. With compassion and grief I offer my condolences. I will always remember Jess fondly, until we meet on the other side!

Warmly and sincerely,

I have worked with Jess for many years and he will be missed dearly. He was perfectionists when it came to his job, he enjoyed taking his time and transferring knowledge. When I became an Architect Jess had no problem getting me up to speed. I watched Jess through the years navigate through some of the most complex issues through multiply days and nights. All I want to say is I'm going to miss you my friend!

Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember our dearly departed.
May the love of family and friends comfort you during these difficult days, my most heartfelt condolences.
