Jo Ann Mathews

On July 26th, 2021, Jo Ann Casp Mathews, beloved wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma crossed over into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 86. She was born June 9th, 1935, in Aliquippa, Pa. She is survived by her husband, James Mathews, daughter Jacalyn Mathews, daughter Jennifer Sharpe, son James Mathews, 17 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Preceding her passing is her younger brother, Michael A. Casp, her mother Olga Casp, her father Michael Casp, son in law, Howard Sharpe, and daughter in law, Carrie Mathews. Mom grew up in Beaver, Pa. marrying Dad, James M Mathews (Buzzy) on September 8th, 1956. Mom and Dad have known each other since the age of 9 and loved telling stories about the first time they met. Mom’s greatest grief during her life was the passing of her little brother Mike on his second tour in Vietnam. Mom’s greatest joy was always her family. She attended Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Gold Canyon, Az and enjoyed time with friends and family. Our beloved Jo Ann will be missed until we meet again. Celebration of Life to be at a later time.
