It was heartbreaking to hear of Jo’s passing, Jim and Alicia .  Jo was like a second Mom to me throughout Alicia and I’s relationship. She was kind, generous, big hearted. We would spend hours playing the WII and giggling like school girls.  What sense of humor she had! Trips to San Diego., watching Nebraska football, Suns, Cardinals game season tickets, playing board games, making wings or Runzas. She always seemed to have a new delicious recipe to try.  She was quite the chef and entertainer.  She definitely wore many hats , and she wore them with style. You had

I was very saddened to hear about Jo's passing and am sending my heartfelt condolences to the family. I only have good memories of Jo. When I joined SILC as director in 2016 she helped me tremendously to navigate the School. She was always kind and understood people very well. When she wanted to retire after I had been on the job for only half a year, I managed to convince her to stay on for a little longer. I was incredibly grateful to her for doing that, as she had the "institutional knowledge" that was needed to move forward. I really appreciated all of her advice, her sense of humor, and also her caring presence in the office.  I will not forget you Jo :) Warm regards to all, Nina Berman

I will forever associate these two things with my beloved sister-in-law, Jo.  She and her husband first introduced us to See's Candies and every time I go I have to get my favorite Toffee-ettes.  This Stella Rose black limited edition was the bottle of wine we shared when Dale, Jennifer and I were in Phoenix in May of 2022.  We shared a family dinner and drank this bottle.  It was a great time and I will always be grateful we were there when she felt so good.

Chris and I were devastated to hear of Jo's passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to you. We have so many wonderful memories of Jo over the 26 years we have been neighbors- the Christmas parties where she always came in the kitchen to help me and the potlucks at Halloween where we would all bring a dish and catch up. I will always remember the kindness and comfort Jim and Jo offered me after my return from 9-11 and how I felt better knowing they were just across the street if I needed them. We were blessed to have known her and she will be greatly missed

I am so sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. Joan was my oldest daughter’s Godmother. We were good friends while she was here in Lincoln. Please except my deepest condolences to your family.

Jim, Alicia, Aunt Marj, Gail, Dale -- My heart aches for your loss!  I hope her smile, humor and laughter become the main track you see and hear as you mourn her.   With big love, comes even bigger grief.

I was recently going through my Dad, Marvin's things and came across these wonderful old photos of happy times at Jim and Jo's wedding and at Grandpa Frank and Grandma Ann's anniversary celebration.  Jo was always the "cool" cousin I looked up to and wanted to be when I grew up!   

Your in my thoughts and prayers. Joan was a bridesmaid in my wedding. We were good friends at Pius X. We like 2 peas in a pod. She would come over and I would have to take her home. But it was always the long way. LOL.  We didn't  stay in touch to often. My loss.

I am so sorry, and saddened to learn of Jo’s passing. I had the thought just a few days ago that it was time Jo and I got together for lunch soon—especially since I am now retired as well. Now, that won’t be. But, I have many fond memories of Jo as we both worked at ASU for many years.  She was a wonderfully supportive colleague and friend. I am so very truly sorry for your loss. I still find it hard to believe that Jo has gone to heaven. The last time I saw her, we had lunch together with Sue Polfus and Linda Duncan at Eggington. She looked so bright and beautiful that we all joked that even after all she had been through she looked better than the rest of us.  We laughed and talked and stayed for hours. I will always remember her the way she was that day. When I heard she had COVID  I texted her to ask her how she felt..and she answered “horrible” I still wasn’t too worried..I guess I should have been the way things turned out but Jo was a warrior, She had rallied so many times before…..I know the year after her transplant had been so hard but she was just beginning to have fun again…I know she didn’t want to leave her family and I know she would have stayed if she could have….💔💔💔💔 GOD IS CLOSE TO THE BROKEN HEARTED AND SAVES THOSE. I used to babysit for the Schroeder kids when I was in high school. Joan used to always follow me around even when I went to the privy. Carol and I were waiting for her one time and scared her half to death when we came up behind her when she was following me.  She was always good help to me with the new twins.  She will be greatly missed by so many. 

Jo was a second mother to me growing up.  I spent countless hours at her home with her daughter Alicia.  Her kind heart and  thoughtfulness will live on through those that loved her. She will be greatly missed! Love and prayers to everyone that knew her💗

Growing up I spent a lot of time with Jo and I will always have lots of fun memories with her and the Faldtz family. She will be missed by many people.

Jo has been in my life for most of my life and has been like a second mom to me.   Growing up with the Faltdz family was a highlight even through my older adult years.  Christmas parties, birthday parties, 4th of July and so are some of my favorite memories.  I love you dearly Jo and you are missed.  You fought like the amazing person you are and Heaven is lucky to have you. Say hello to my dad! 

Jim ,words cannot adequately say how saddened I am to hear of Jo's passing away.  Jo was such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to others who have or are suffering from serious illnesses. Her strength,   attitude and determination to survive her transplants was so  phenomenal. She was winning her battle. I didn't see this coming.
She is as I know and you know  completely healed and at peace  with our Lord & Savior. But it still  hurts. I am praying for you and  your family that you find comfort and peace in knowing how much Jo was loved and is loved and in the arms of her Lord. 

We will certainly miss Jo. We have many fond memories of her and Jim at Spirit of Joy. 
I (Pat) have great memories of the two of us working at Mike and Sue’s Card and Gift shops. 
Jo was so courageous throughout her transplant surgery and recovery. 
She will be missed by us and many others who loved her. 


My dear, sweet friend, Jo.....what a battle she fought the past few years, she was so brave and strong.  There are no words to say how much she will be missed, by her family, and  by me and my family, and anyone who had the honor of knowing her.
