John was born in San Antonio, Texas. The oldest of 7 children consisting of 6 boys and 1 girl. He is from a large family with many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. John left San Antonio January, 1969 to join the Navy. Served on the USS Juneau LPD 10 for his entire 4 years of service. He was a proud patriot. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 53 years, his 2 daughters, Jennifer and Anna, and his granddaughter, Reagan. John loved his Dallas Cowboys, his New York Yankees and most of all the game of golf. He made many good and close long time friends over his years of service, work and playing golf.
