John Upton, 83, passed away on August 21, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona due to a prolonged illness. He was born July 2, 1931 in Newburgh, New York. He was a tool and die maker by trade, worked at IBM for several years, then moved to California to work as a machine salesman.
He is survived by Liz, his wife of 43 years; a brother, Stan & his wife Maureen; his children, Yvette, John J., Elizabethe, Bryan, Alan, and Lyle; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nieces, Gail & Lorraine, and nephew David. He is preceded in death by his sister, Ronda and his daughter, Eva.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Melcher Mission Chapel, 6625 E. Main St. in Mesa. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:00am, followed by interment at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale.
