John P. Walker went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Sunday June 15, 2025. John was born in Clearwater, Florida on February 13, 1960. He was the youngest of 4 children. His parents, Eugene (Bud) Walker and Loretta Hoar Walker of Clearwater, FL preceded him in death. He is survived by his 3 older brothers, Mickey, Jim and Tommy Walker and their families. John worked in several customer service management and training positions during his lifetime. As a young man he worked for People Express Airlines, and other charter service airlines traveling all over the world. He called many cities home during his lifetime. Clearwater Florida, Newark, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Franklin, North Carolina and finally Phoenix, Arizona. In his professional life, he was called to mentor others, with insightful care. His goal was to make them the best that they could be. This was one of his greatest talents. He always made a difference in others. As an artist, John had a special gift. He had the ability to see even the simplest everyday thing in a unique way. He saw beauty and possibility in everything. His painting and mixed media art held mystery and wonder to those lucky enough to behold it or even better, to own it. He loved the creative process and would fully immerse himself in it. He was always ready to create. John loved nature and the outdoors. He spent several years at his home in the North Carolina, in the Nantahala Forest. He loved to wade in the rushing river that ran through his property. You would often find him moving the rocks around and plunging into the icy waters. He loved hiking to the highest peaks and then would later sit quietly in the darkness of the woods surrounded by thousands of dancing fireflies. Fall was his favorite time there. John was a beautiful and special soul, full of light, laughter and creativity. Those that crossed his path were better for it. His positive energy was immediately apparent and contagious. He is gone from us far too soon and will be missed by his family and many friends. We are thankful to have been lucky enough to know him and spend time with him. We have all been lovingly changed in some way because of him. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below using the Add a Memory link.
