A son. A brother. A father. KT's grandfather—though only for a very, very short time.
Johnathon was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. Even when he didn’t have two nickels to rub together, he’d still find a way to buy someone in need a meal. He was always hustling, always grinding—doing whatever it took to take care of his family.
His children were his world. He wasn’t just their dad—he was both mom and dad.
To his Nonna, When he was little, he was simply “JJ.” To all his friends, he was John—a true friend, and a brother in every way that mattered. He believed in a higher power. For some, that means God. For others, it means 4/20. For Johnathon, it was both. He lived by his own rules, loved with everything he had, and gave even when he had nothing left to give. Fly with the angels, my son. Fly with the angels.Johnathon is survived by his children: Maya Fuentes, Kayla Vendt, Priscylla Magliba, Isabel Magliba, Brianna Vendt, and Emma Vendt. He is also survived by his father Alfred Vendt and stepmother Deborah Vendt; his mother Jo Ann Weeks Carter and stepfather Craig Carter; Charles Leisure, stepfather, his beloved grandmother (Nonna), Giorgina Vendt; his brothers Stephen Vendt, Douglas Seber, and Patrick Leisure; and his sisters Bianca Vendt, Danielle Seber, Jaime Reyes, and Leslie Leisure.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Salt River – On Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Bring what he would’ve wanted you to bring—and celebrate him in the way he lived: with love, laughter, and realness.
