Joseph Reynaldo Malloque, 88, of Mesa, Arizona passed away, May 25, 2020 in Gilbert, Arizona. He was born in Morenci, Arizona to Joseph John and Clorinda Hortencia [Vozza] Malloque. Joseph was an avid golfer and loved gardening, especially taking care his lawn and roses. He was an engineer by trade and worked in the copper mines for 47 years, starting in 1950. Joseph was very active in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford, Arizona, where he and his late wife, Florence frequently volunteered. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and Lions Club, as well as a Volunteer Fireman and chief for many years in Morenci, where they did not have a Fire Department; he loved helping others. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cloridina Malloque, his beloved wife, Florence “Tiny” [Gilpin] Malloque and eight siblings, Gilda, Rachael, Helen, Rosine, Tony, Louie, and Sylvia. He is survived by his children, JoAnn (Erwin) Nelson, Marc Malloque, Michelle (Gregg) Johnson and Lisa (Steve) Dowell; grandchildren, Erin (Chad) Neal, Cameron Nelson, Brooke (Chase) D’Antonio, Brittany Williams and Joseph (Ashley) Malloque and his great grandchildren, Chad Jr. “CJ”, Henley and Paisley. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Joseph’s name to your desired charity.
