Hey grandpa, I didn't get to see you in I don't know how many years. You were the last of my grandparents and I wish I got the chance to say goodbye. I guess this is the best I can do. Hi Gramps! Boy you sure are missed around here. Luckily, we know you are still watching over us, and now are reunited with grandma in heaven! We all miss your amazing sense of humor and your ability to crack a joke about everything and not to mention all of the lessons we learned about coupons and how to get the best deals at the grocery store. :) We all miss and love you grandpa, and we look forward to seeing you again, whenever that might be! xo

Humor was definitely not something you lacked, that's for sure! Your comedic timimg and funny one liners are what I remember most. I bet you are up there making those around you laugh, and teaching a few dance moves.   More than anything,I bet you can't stop smiling because you and grandma are together again. You waited a long time to see her again--this is something to celebrate.

       It is so hard for us to see our parents pass from this life as we know it.  As the days and months go by, you will forget the sadness you are feeling now and remember the happy times with your dad.  Just think of the grand reunion going on up in heaven with so many of the Tripp neighbors together again!  My sincere sympathy to all of you and your famiiies.

We appreciated having Joseph as a friend and enjoyed many times discussing the big ban era which played a major part of his life.  He was a terrific dancer and just glided over the floor when we came across he and his wife at one of the dance places in Mesa.  He will be missed.  Bob and Irene Dougherty

Dear Dad,
     I love you very much and miss you already. I have pictures in my mind of your funny gestures and how happy it made you to make others laugh. "Leave 'em smiling" you said, and I believe you have done that. You have given your family and friends the best memories of you. I am so glad our children, your Grandchildren, got to know and love you. We will miss you at our dinnertable and the holidays will be forever changed. When I see dancers or watch "Lawrence Welk", I will always think of you and know now that you are dancing in the grandest Ballroom of all.  Enjoy it Dad, you truly deserve it.

Dear Dad,

Although I am your son-in-law you always treated me as a son.  Life will not be the same without you.  Your heart was always open to my family's needs and you were always a strong shoulder to lean on during many difficult times.  I will miss your warmth, compassion and especilly your humor.  You are in better place now.  No more sorrow or pain.  I cannot imagine going to Arizona and not seeing you as I miss you greatly. You were a wonderful father to me and I love you dearly.

My Dearest "Benji",


 
I always knew that this day would come and how difficult losing you would be, but nothing could have prepared me for the enormous hole in my heart that will never be filled until we are re-united in heaven. 



 
I have learned so many things from you, the importance of family, a work ethic, the definitions of words I never heard of (as you would continually quiz me because of your love for the dictionary), and of course, how to tell a good "Polish" joke. 



 
You have left me with a lifetime of wonderful memories--from dancing on your feet as a child in your attempts to teach me the waltz and the cha-cha, to watching you coragiously transition from this life into the next. 



 
Everyone who was part of your life knew that your greatest passions were music and DANCING. I never tired of all your stories about going to the Aragon, the Trianon, Melody Mill as well as the ballroom in California when Lawrence Welk was a "rookie".You made that era seem so magical and I am saddened to know that this world has lost so much of that magic. 



 
 
I got such a kick out of bringing you to your Saturday night dances in your later years. Even though you were eating your heart out because age would no longer enable you to dance, all of your dance partners would come over to your table, take your hands and dance with you. Joe and I would listen to stories from your friends at the ballroom. They marveled at your and mom's talent and grace as you danced across the floor, and they would tell us how you helped them to perfect their steps. 




A few days before you left us, you told me how amazing it was to get to know your children all over again later in life. But Dad, I would tell you that it was such a gift to me, as I got to know you not only as a Father, but as a "Friend". 



 
I will miss so many things about you, Dad, but I am at peace knowing that you are now dancing before that Lord. I am also joyful because our love for one another will live on in eternity.

My beloved father. We shared so much over the span of our lives. We shared so much more in the past fifteen years. You were my extistence, you were and are, my purpose. I owe it all to you, my sweet, sweet father.  Our talks,conversations about it all Dad, your life and mine. You taught me so many things that came to fruition in later years. You taught it all. You have been my father and my best friend ; my teacher and my confidant. You my father, gave it all. Through this process, you never complained. Your humor and grace is something that will register for a lifetime, in my life and that of my family. I'm sellfish in this respect dad, that I won't see you again in this life. I'm overjoyed in knowing exactly where you are and once again we will meet. You, my father, have served me well. I only pray that in your mind, I met your expectations. Dad, what an awesome job!!.
