Katherine C. "Kitty" Moorhead

Age 95, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2016, in Mesa Arizona, a resident of Fellowship Square. She was born on May 5, 1920 to parents of Peter and Mary Schuller, Pfingsgraff in Youngstown, Ohio. She graduated from South High School in 1938 where she met the love of her life, Eugene Jackson Moorhead and married March 22, 1943 during his leave from the US Navy. She was a devoted wife and mother of daughter Judith Andrea and son Gary Allan, The family relocated to Birmingham, Michigan 1958 and in 1972 moved to Fort Lauderdale Florida and she eventually retired in Naples, Florida. She was active in many sports, swimming, tennis and golf. She loved playing bridge everywhere she went. She was loved by many ans will be greatly missed. Kitty was predeceased by her husband Gene, daughter Judy and her sister Elizabeth Denison. She is survived by her sister Helen Baer of Youngstown, Ohio and her son Gary and his wife Patty (Barnum) of Superstition Mtn, Arizona, and her five grandchildren, Jacaquelyn Finch (Ron), Andrea Shier (Wally), Brian Baby (Mina), Bradley Moorhead (Britt), Cory Moorhead (Mary Glenn) and five great grandchildren, Katie, Nicholas, Caroline Rose Moorhead and Evan and Emma Baby. Memorial Service will be held at Fellowship Square Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katherine’s name to the Fellowship Square Transportation Fund Raiser
